When news surfaced that Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne were the new mixed martial arts (MMA) power couple, hearts around the world began to break.
One of them belonged to United States Marine Jarrod Haschert, the 22-year-old serviceman who scored a date with Ronda to the Marine Corps Ball after "Rowdy" accepted his invitation to the big dance just last month.
But after catching wind that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women's bantamweight titleholder was off the market, Jarrod expressed to TMZ his fears of Rousey potentially backing out.
