American Jarred Brooks took on Cuba's Gustavo Balart. While Brooks (21-3) made weight, Balart (12-5) came in a pound over the promotion's 125-pound limit and was thus ineligible. The fight went on, though, and Brooks was given extra motivation to defeat his overweight foe for championship gold.
