Jaron Ennis forced Eimantas Stanionis to retire on his stool to unify the WBA, IBF, and Ring Magazine world titles.
“Boots” took it to Stanionis with blows to the head and body with fast combinations and sharp jabs throughout. Enniis switched between orthodox and southpaw stances, fighting Stanionis at range and in close and dominating in both instances.
To his credit, Stanionis found some success, countering Ennis with the left hook in the first two rounds, as well as during a moment in the fifth round when Ennis was hit by multiple straight punches.
