James Mulheron accepts one-year suspension for USADA violation

The USADA announced Tuesday that UFC heavyweight James Mulheron has accepted a one-year suspension from competition after testing positive for the banned substances clomiphene and hydroxyclomiphene last November.

Mulheron’s failed test came from an out-of-competition sample collected on Nov. 10 and the potential violation was reported on Nov. 18. The result led to Mulheron being removed from a Nov. 25 bout vs. Cyril Asker at UFC Shanghai.

In his lone Octagon appearance, which took place at UFC Glasgow last July, Mulheron dropped a unanimous decision to Justin Willis. “The Juggernaut” will be eligible to compete again on Nov.
