Unlike many top contenders, Ronaldo Souza is not going to sit around and wait for a title shot.
The Brazilian picked up a first-round submission victory over Tim Boetsch on the main card of Saturday’s UFC 208 in Brooklyn. With this win, “Jacare” is now 7-1 since joining the UFC back in 2013 with his only defeat being a close split-decision loss to No. 1 contender Yoel Romero.
Yet, despite being in a good position in the middleweight division, “Jacare” would rather keep taking fights and risk his position in the division than wait for his turn to challenge for gold.
