Always the bridesmaid, but never the bride. If Daniel Cormier (pictured) can’t beat Anthony Johnson, who has turned into an absolute beast since settling in at 205-pounds, Saturday to capture the vacant UFC light heavyweight title, then he may never be a bride in the UFC.
Cormier admitted two years ago that his window to win a world title on MMA’s grandest stage was slowly closing given his advanced age. When the opportunity to finally presented itself, Cormier laid an egg. In fact, he stunk up the MGM Grand Garden Arena so badly that he even left himself in tears.
