Kazakhstan’s Diyar Nurgozhay was an unbeaten fighter who made an impactful debut in Dana White’s Contender Series before his entrance into the UFC. The former Eagle FC Champion and 10-0 fighter won and earned a head kick knockout win to punch his ticket to the UFC.

The 27-year-old athlete, who many don’t know much about, made his UFC debut against Brazil’s Brendson Ribeiro by way of submission in the burgeoning light heavyweight division. Prior to this, Diyar Nurgozhay was the strong favorite with odds ranging from -345 to -400, and nearly all of his wins were earned by KO/TKO or submission.
