Invicta Fighting Championships’ 14th event will no longer be headlined by a bantamweight title fight.
Defending champion Tonya Evinger and unbeaten challenger Pannie Kianzad both missed weight Friday at the official weigh-in, prompting the organization to change the main event to a five-round non-title affair. The show takes place Saturday at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo., and streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
Kianzad missed the bantamweight limit by almost two pounds, as “Sexy Scramble” weighed 136.7 pounds. Evinger also had trouble in hitting the championship weight limit and officially weighed in at 135.
