Rachael Ostovich has been forced to withdraw from a proposed clash against Paige VanZant due to injuries suffered in an alleged domestic assault over the weekend.
Ostovich’s management team, Suckerpunch Entertainment, confirmed the fighter’s exit in a post on Facebook. Ostovich would have faced VanZant as part of the UFC’s first card on ESPN+, which was scheduled to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., on Jan. 19.
“A very unfortunate incident occurred Sunday night with Rachael Ostovich that ended with her suffering a fractured orbital and other injuries,” the statement read.
