A featherweight bout involving two Latin American fighters has joined the lineup for the UFC’s first trip to Chile.
Humberto Bandenay vs. Gabriel Benitez has been scheduled for UFC Chile, which is set to go down at the Movistar Arena in Santiago on May 19. The news of the booking was announced by the promotion.
Bandenay hasn’t fought since making his UFC debut back in August. The Peruvian fighter has tried to follow up on his impressive 26-second knockout over Martin Bravo, but due two a wrist injury and visa issues, Bandenay has been forced to withdraw from his two previously scheduled bouts in the UFC.
