Tonight (Saturday, April 20th) The WBO welterweight title is at stake in Madison Square Garden in New York, as American star Terence Crawford (34-0, 25 KOs) defends his belt against England’s Amir Khan (33-4, 20 KOs). It’s the first pay-per-view event as part of Top Rank’s exclusive contract with ESPN.
Crawford is among the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. He became the undisputed junior welterweight champion in 2017 before making the move up to welterweight, and he won a major title there when he dispatched Jeff Horn in June. The Nebraskan then delighted his home fans with an emphatic 12th-round KO of Jose Benavidez Jr in a grudge match.
