The IBF featherweight title is at stake today (Saturday, December 22nd) at the Manchester Arena in Manchester, England, as reigning champion Josh Warrington (27-0, 6 KOs) battles former WBA champion Carl Frampton (26-1, 15 KOs) in an all-UK scrap.
Warrington became world champion with an upset win over Lee Selby in his hometown of Leeds in May. It was a gutsy, exciting, sometimes ugly affair but a deserved victory for Josh nevertheless. His first defense will be against “The Jackal,” who has won three straight since losing his WBA title to Leo Santa Cruz in their rematch last year.
