Talk about a wild finish!
In what was one of the most bizarre finishes to a boxing match in recent memory, Timothy Bradley held on to retain his welterweight title against WBA Super Lightweight Champion Jessie Vargas inside StubHub Center last night (Sat., June 27, 2015) in Carson, California.
But it wasn't without controversy.
In the 12th and final round, Vargas rocked Bradley in the closing seconds of the fight. Attempting to go in for the kill and pull of one hell of a comeback victory before time expired, Jessie's attack was halted by the referee on duty, who appeared to go in and put an end to the punishment.
