Well, that was awesome.
After an absolute stinker from Guillermo Rigondeaux, the burden fell to Francisco Vargas and Takashi Miurato to spark momentum heading into the HBO Boxing pay-per-view (PPV) main event last night (Sat., Nov. 21, 2015) inside Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.
And damned if they didn't do so.
The two super talented Super Featherweight stars went to war, trading knockdowns and hundreds of power punches before Vargas' power brought things to an end in the ninth round.
Vargas (23-0-1, 17 KO) came damn close to ending things in the first two minutes, nearly flattening Miura with a right hook and battering him with punches for the entirety of the first round.
