Frankie Edgar has always had his eye on a prize fight with UFC megastar Conor McGregor and, after the Irishman politely called him out in a recent interview with ESPN, ‘The Answer’ is more hopeful than ever about a showdown with the former two-division champion.

With that said, Edgar, who recently dropped down to bantamweight, isn’t sure where McGregor’s true motivation lies.

In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, the former UFC lightweight champ said McGregor needs to ‘stop faking the funk’ and actually commit to his words.

“Hey let’s stop faking the funk,” Edgar said, per MMA Fighting’s Jed Meshew.
