Former two-weight UFC champion Henry Cejudo isn’t completely done with fighting just yet, as “Triple-C” is still holding out for a boxing match against Ryan Garcia.
Cejudo (16-2) announced his retirement from mixed martial arts after defeating Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 in May. “The Messenger” went undefeated in his last six UFC fights, winning and defending both the bantamweight and flyweight title in the process.
After calling out Garcia for a fight last month, Cejudo spoke recently to ESPN about why that boxing match would appeal more to him than any UFC fight.
“I think Ryan Garcia would be the easiest payday ‘Triple C’ would ever get,” Cejudo said.
