Last week, WBC boxing middleweight title challenger Amir Khan said he wanted to fight Conor McGregor in a mixed martial arts bout.
The Olympic silver medalist is a longtime fan of the sport and admits to incorporating MMA training into his boxing regime. "I've already done MMA training," Khantold the Daily Star in a recent interview. "It's good for preparing to fight a guy like Canelo who likes to put the pressure on."
Brendan Schaub, who is a former UFC heavyweight contender, ridiculed Khan's comments on his Fighter and the Kid podcast on Thursday.
According to 'The Hybrid', Khan would lose to a 'low-level amateur' and is ignorant of the training it would take to compete at a high-level in the UFC.
