One of the biggest fights of the year is a day away as Gennady “GGG” Golovkin will take on Daniel Jacobs in the Mecca of Boxing, Madison Square Garden in New York.
Golovkin (36-0, 33 KOs) will put his WBC and IBF world middleweight titles on the line in a fight that most are expecting him to win. However, his opponent, Daniel Jacobs, is arguably the best all-around fighter he’ll have faced up to this point in his career and is more than capable of pulling off the upset. “GGG” has his sights on a mega fight with Mexican superstar Saul “Canelo” Alvarez later this year and some question his focus going in against Jacobs, but at the Friday morning weigh-ins, the Kazakhstani came in looking as fierce as ever.
