Fan favourite, Gunnar Nelson has signed a new multi-fight contract with the UFC. The Icelandic native announced via his social media platforms that a multi-fight deal has been signed and that there is ‘more news to come soon‘.
Despite falling on hard times as of late, Nelson certainly still has a future in the sport. The 33-year-old is 1-3 in his last four bouts, having lost to Santiago Ponzinibbio, Leon Edwards and Gilbert Burns. It’s worth noting that Burns went on to fight for the title two fights later and Edwards is seemingly on the cusp of a title shot himself.
