In a month filled with fight cancellations, yet another UFC feature bout has been scrapped.
Following a report from The MMA Takeover, Damon Martin confirmed that welterweight contender Gunnar Nelson has suffered an injury that will leave him unable to fight Neil Magny at the UFC Liverpool co-main event next month. It is reportedly a knee injury which will require surgery, which will surely mean that it’ll be more than a year since his last fight.
Nelson (16-3-1) competed last July, suffering a KO loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio in the UFC Glasgow main event.
