Gregor Gillespie vs. Brad Riddell scrapped, Max Griffin vs. Kenan Song new UFC Vegas 22 co-headliner

The co-main event at UFC Vegas 22 has been scrapped as Gregor Gillespie and Brad Riddell have been pulled from the card just hours before the show was scheduled to start.

UFC officials announced on Saturday that the fight was pulled due to COVID-19 protocols. The plan is to rebook the fight in the coming weeks, but no new date has been determined yet. A UFC official told MMA Fighting the event’s new co-headliner is a welterweight bout, Max Griffin vs. Kenan Song.

Gillespie was returning to action after suffering the first loss of his career; the former NCAA National Champion wrestler fell to Kevin Lee by knockout in 2019.
