Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping is coming towards the end of his career. While he’s stated that he wants a farewell fight, and recently tweeted that he won’t fight at middleweight anymore, but is also on record as saying he’s uncertain if he’ll even compete again.
Bisping recently asked on fans on Twitter who his final opponent should be, and someone suggested Gokhan Saki. That “someone” was uh... Gokhan Saki.
Saki (1-1) is a former kickboxing superstar who signed with the UFC almost exactly one year ago. “Turkish Tyson” made his Octagon debut later that September — his previous MMA fight back in 2004 ended in a TKO loss — and knocked out Luiz Henrique da Silva in the opening round.
