Bellator has announced the signing of another Japanese talent.
Isao Kobayashi, a former "King of Pancrase" at lightweight, will make his promotional debut against featherweight Goiti Yamauchi at Bellator 144, event scheduled for Oct. 23 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville.
Kobayashi enters Bellator after racking up an 18-2-4 MMA record, 15-1-4 under the Pancrase banner, including wins over the likes of Marlon Sandro, Will Chope and Koji Oishi. The Japanese fighter has won three of four since cutting down to 145 pounds.
Yamauchi (18-2) will fight for the first time since pulling out of a bout with Pat Curran in June due to injury.
