The UFC announced during Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 114 broadcast that a clash of light heavyweight contenders was added to the next Brazil card, as former title challenger Glover Teixeira will take on Misha Cirkunov in Sao Paulo.
Glover Teixeira (26-6) had a unanimous decision win over Jared Cannonier in February, sandwiched between KO losses to Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Johnson. Teixeira had previously won three consecutive fights over Ovince Saint Preux, Patrick Cummins, and Rashad Evans.
Misha Cirkunov (13-1) had a fantastic initial UFC run, going 4-0 with four stoppage wins over the likes of Daniel Jolly, Alex Nicholson, Ion Cutelaba and Nikita Krylov.
