It was hard enough getting Tyron Woodley to accept the Leon Edwards fight, so poor Gilbert Burns didn’t really stand much of a chance when he called out ‘T-Wood’ for a short notice fight at UFC Fight Night 170 — formerly UFC London — on Saturday.
Burns offered to step in as a replacement for Edwards, who was removed from UFC London due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Brazilian was looking to ride the momentum of his first-round TKO win over Demian Maia at UFC Brasilia but claims Woodley didn’t want to fight.
Burns vented his frustration with Woodley on social media, shaming the former UFC welterweight champ for being all talk and no action.
