Earlier this week, I asked a combat sports colleague if he was ready for Hari Sukan Nagara.
"Yeah man," he quickly replied. "Uh ... what weight class does he fight in?"
That's when I realized that most folks in the mixed martial arts (MMA) community -- particularly those on the other side of the globe -- weren't in tune with just how epic this Saturday (Oct. 10, 2015) is going to be, as Malaysia kicks off its inaugural Hari Sukan Nagara, or "National Sports Day."
An initiative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Hari Sukan Nagara -- held every second Saturday in October -- is designed to help transform Malaysia into a sporting nation.
