Eight-time Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran Nick Hein has elected to hang up his four-ounce gloves.
The German lightweight announced his retirement following a second-round technical knockout loss to Frank Camacho at UFC Stockholm on Saturday. It was the 35-year-old’s third consecutive defeat within the Las Vegas-based promotion.
“20 years judo sports (600 fights), including 10 on the national team. [one] decade MMA, [five] years in the UFC. I’m ready for the next chapter. Thanks to all. I am looking forward to the future,” Hein wrote on Facebook.
Hein exits the sport with a 14-5 record that includes one no contest.
