Last Saturday at UFC 208, Germaine de Randamie earned three 48-47 scorecards to take a unanimous decision over former UFC women's bantamweight champion Holly Holm to become the promotion's first women's 145-pound champion. However, the Dutchwoman's victory was not without controversy, as “The Iron Lady” rocked Holm after the horn sounded to end the second round, visibly rocking Holm. Just over five minutes later, de Randamie again landed a flurry of punches after the third round ended, sparking debate as to whether it was intentional and whether referee Todd Anderson should have taken a point from “The Iron Lady.
