Georges St-Pierre has given the UFC his notice of retirement, and at the same time he has left the USADA drug-testing pool.
St-Pierre ‘happily’ announced his retirement from MMA last month, at a press conference in Montreal. ESPN have since confirmed that the 37-year-old has been removed from the UFC’s drug testing program following his decision to retire.
The UFC’s vice president of athlete health and performance, Jeff Novitzky, told MMA Fighting St-Pierre had gave him written notice of his leave.
“He is out [of the pool],” Novitzky said. “He gave me written notice he’s retired and out of the USADA registered testing pool (RTP).
