Four months after their memorable clash in Las Vegas, Gennady Golovkin and Canelo Alvarez are going to have an immediate rematch.
HBO announced on Monday that two of boxing’s pound-for-pound best will meet on Cinco de Mayo. Noted boxing insider Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson broke the news in this video.
A venue is still to be determined, although the frontrunner should always be the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Golovkin’s promoter, Tom Loeffler, said that AT&T Stadium in Texas and New York’s Madison Square Garden are also in the running.
