Gennady Golovkin on David Lemieux stoppage: He went to school tonight and I'm in a different class

Boxing superstar Gennady Golovkin (34-0) took his illustrious record and knockout streak to new heights last night (Sat. Oct. 17, 2015) after defeating Canadian power-puncher David Lemieux (34-3) to capture his fourth championship inside Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Golovkin, the current WBA, IBO, WBC and IBF middleweight titleholder, dominated the 26-year-old over the course of eight rounds, winning the battle through enormous power shots and a stinging jab.

"GGG" jabbed his way out to an early lead, which thwarted any and all offense from the incumbent champion Lemieux. The 33-year-old product from Kazahkstan kept his range and landed several left hooks behind his jab.
