International Boxing Federation and International Boxing Organization middleweight champion Gennadiy Golovkin will put both belts on the line against Polish challenger Kamil Szeremeta. It’s the first fight in 2020 for both boxers and a necessary one as “GGG” takes on his IBF mandatory challenger.
Now 38, Golovkin (40-1-1, 35 KO) is still one of the top boxers in the sport. After a controversial defeat to Saul Alvarez in 2018, “GGG” has knocked out Steve Rolls and won a hard-fought decision over Sergiy Derevyanchenko to claim middleweight gold once again. He’ll look to get past his mandatory challenger and potentially fight “Canelo” for a third time.
