Garry Tonon will compete again less than seven weeks after a quick victory in Japan, and this time he will be doing it as a featherweight.
“The Lion Killer”, who finished Anthony Engelen by TKO in a lightweight contest at ONE’s debut in Tokyo in March, is now scheduled to face Yoshiki Nakahara at an upcoming card in Singapore on May 17, the company announced Monday.
Tonon (4-0) started his career at welterweight before moving down to lightweight for his last two fights. ONE’s weight cutting system that doesn’t allow dehydration, so welterweights are 185 pounds, lightweights are 170 pounds, and featherweights compete at 155 pounds.
