Marcos Galvao will have his first title defense against his former teammate and former champion, Eduardo Dantas, who knocked him out back in 2013.
Two Brazilian bantamweights will meet again for the Bellator world title as the promotion announced that current champion Marcos Galvao will defend his belt for the first time against his former Nova Uniao teammate, Eduardo Dantas, at Bellator 144. The event is set to take place in Uncasville, Connecticut on October 23.
Interestingly, the last time Dantas and Galvao met back in 2013, Dantas was the champion and Galvao the challenger.
