The MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada was the setting where Tyson Fury stopped Deontay Wilder in the seventh round of their highly anticipated rematch to unify the WBC, The Ring, and the lineal heavyweight titles.
Fury came out with stiff jabs and much more aggressive than the first fight. In the third round, Fury landed a bomb of a right hand that dropped his opponent. Wilder recovered and answered the count, but he was hurt. Fury hit Wilder with another bomb in the fifth round, but Wilder was able to clinch up and regain his bearings. Then in the same round, a crushing body shot dropped Wilder.
