Max Holloway is not a happy man. The 24-year-old has worked tremendously hard to solidify himself as a serious contender in the featherweight division and, just when thought to be on the brink of a title shot, interim champ Jose Aldo has complicated matters by requesting to leave the UFC.
‘Scarface’ was promised a rematch with official featherweight champion Conor McGregor, who knocked out Aldo in just thirteen seconds at UFC 194. But, since the Irishman’s win over Nate Diaz at UFC 202, ‘The Notorious’ has lined himself up for a lightweight title fight against Eddie Alvarez at Madison Square Garden in New York on Nov.
