If the UFC had a featherweight division in the mid-1990s maybe 2Pac and The Notorious B.I.G would still be with us. Hip Hop needed Biggie and Pac while in a roundabout way the UFC’s has always kind of needed Frankie Edgar. The New Jersey featherweight is known commodity in a new UFC era where so many fights bleed together after 25 straight weekends of TUFs, Fight Nights, and the occasionally $55 dollar pay per view.
Edgar is that dude who stole B.J Penn’s soul, had an epic trilogy with Gray Maynard, and oh yeah he also always walks out to Biggie’s 1997 anthem “Kick In The Door”.
