Twice Frankie Edgar has been booked to face UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway, and on both occasions the fight has fallen through. But could the third time be a charm for “The Answer”?
Never in his MMA career has Edgar (23-6-1) been away from the cage for so long, having not fought since winning a decision over Cub Swanson in April 2018. Before that win, Edgar suffered the first knockout loss of his career to Brian Ortega at UFC 222. Holloway was supposed to be his opponent on that night, but the Hawaiian was forced out with a leg injury.
