The light heavyweight from Montreal was scheduled to meet Linton Vassell on the main card of Bellator 158 at London's O2 Arena. But Bellator announced Tuesday that Vassell had to drop out of the fight due to a a bad cut over his left eye suffered in training.
As a result, Carmont will instead meet Poland's Lukasz Klinger in the latter's Bellator debut.
Carmont (24-11) is 2-1 in Bellator. He was last seen at Bellator Dynamite 1 last September, in which he defeated Guilherme Viana in an alternates bout in the one-night light heavyweight tournament, then lost in the finals to Phil Davis as a substitute for the injured King Mo Lawal.
