UFC veteran Rick “The Horror” Story has announced his retirement from MMA at the age of 34.
Story posted a picture to social media on Thursday thanking fans for their consistent support throughout his eleven-year MMA career. A gritty wrestler who was only finished twice during his stint in the UFC, Story made his debut for the promotion in 2009 at UFC 99 when he lost a decision to John Hathaway.
After that loss, Story went on an excellent run winning six straight fights at 170-pounds, including decision victories over Thiago Alves and former UFC welterweight champion, Johny Hendricks.
