The UFC has announced that women’s bantamweight Bethe Correia and longtime lightweight Evan Dunham have been released from the promotion.
Officials announced the releases to MMA Fighting on Wednesday.
After once challenging for the women’s bantamweight title against Ronda Rousey, Correia (11-5-1) is being given her walking papers after seven years in the UFC. The Brazilian known as “Pitbull” failed to ever put together a successful winning streak following her loss to Rousey in 2015.
Other than wins against Jessica Eye and Sijara Eubanks, Correia was stopped by the likes of Holly Holm and Irene Aldana.
