Greg Hardy made a jaw-dropping mixed martial arts debut.
The disgraced former NFL All-Pro put away Austen Lane with a savage two-punch combination on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series at the UFC Training Center in Las Vegas. Hardy (1-0), who spent six seasons in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers and Dallas Cowboys, brought it to a close 57 seconds into Round 1. Afterward, he was awarded an Ultimate Fighting Championship contract by UFC President Dana White.
Neither man was bashful with his hands. After a brief pause for an inadvertent eye poke, Hardy dropped Lane (2-1) to a knee with a wicked right hook, allowed him to stand and uncorked a left hook that floored him where he stood.
