Former NBA player Royce White has begun training in mixed martial arts, and he’s serious enough about the idea of fighting that he’s released a book detailing his transition between sports.
The 6-foot-8, 260-pound former first-round draft pick of the Houston Rockets has been training at the Minnesota Martial Arts Academy, the gym best known as the home of former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar and former UFC lightweight titleholder Sean Sherk.
White has released a book called “MMA x NBA, A Critique of Modern Sport in America” in which he details his MMA training.
