Livinha Souza was targeting a fight with strawweight prospect Maycee Barber at UFC Fortaleza, but was granted only half of her wish.
A former 115-pound champion in Invicta FC, Souza is set to meet Sarah Frota at the Fight Night card in Fortaleza, Brazil, on Feb. 2, multiple sources confirmed the booking to MMA Fighting following a report by Combate.
Souza (12-1) made quick work of Alex Chambers in her Octagon debut in September, submitting her opponent with a guillotine choke in just 81 seconds. “The Brazilian Gangsta” enters the contest riding a three-fight winning streak, which also includes a quick TKO win over Ayaka Hamasaki under the Invicta FC banner.
