Former heavyweight boxing champion dead at 76

The New York Times has reported that heavyweight boxing champion, Olympian, entrepreneur, and humanitarian George Foreman has died at the age of 76.

His family announced his death on his official Instagram account. No cause was given.

Foreman first claimed the heavyweight title in his 20s and then again in his 40s. He then catapulted a household item into a must have consumers with his larger than life personality.

George Foreman returned to the ring after being away for 10 years, many questioned why he would return and if he could compete against the younger talent in boxing, much less return to the top of the boxing world again.
