It’s likely not a case of John Dodson not being able to handle the heat and that’s why he’s leaving the kitchen, but the former flyweight title challenger has decided to move from the 125-pound division up to bantamweight. The decision was revealed on Wednesday’s edition of “UFC Tonight” on Fox Sports 1.
The move up in weight is an intriguing one as current champion T.J. Dillashaw has already felt the wrath of Dodson’s power. When the two were combatants on Season 14 of “The Ultimate Fighter,” Dodson knocked out Dillashaw with punches early in the first round.
