Add Marcos Galvao to the list of fighters that are no longer in the Bellator roster.
A 135-pound tournament winner and former bantamweight titleholder, “Loro” became a free agent after Bellator chose not to re-sign him when his contract expired, Galvao confirmed Wednesday to MMA Fighting.
Galvao racked up a 9-6 record over the past seven years in Bellator, scoring wins over the likes of Joe Warren, L.C. Davis, and Luis Nogueira. Galvao captured the belt with an impressive second-round submission over Warren in 2015.
“Loro” moved up to featherweight after missing weight for his fight with Davis in 2016, then lost back-to-back decisions to Emmanuel Sanchez and Sam Sicilia in 2017.
