Adonis Stevenson’s health has continued to improve following a knockout loss in December.
Stevenson lost his WBC light heavyweight title in an 11th-round defeat to Oleksandr Gvozdyk, which took place in Quebec. After the fight, the former world boxing champion lost consciousness and went to the hospital, where he was placed into a medically induced coma. He woke up from it about three weeks later.
His girlfriend Simone God released a statement on Stevenson’s website Saturday morning with a health update. She said Stevenson has taken a few steps and is working towards walking by himself, and that he can now talk, too.
