For PRIDE veteran Luiz Firmino, WSOF belt means ‘everything’

Luiz Firmino has competed in some of the biggest MMA promotions around the world. From M-1 Global to Shooto to PRIDE to DREAM, the Brazilian ended up in WSOF in 2013, and a couple wins guaranteed him a ticket to be on The Ultimate Fighter in 2015.

In the reality show’s 12th first season, Firmino represented American Top Team against rivals Blackzilians, and did his part on the show by moving up to the welterweight division and defeating Uros Jurisic via decision. That win wasn’t enough to earn him a contract with the UFC, and he has moved on.
