A clash of Brazilian flyweights is headed to Nashville.
Per Combate’s Raphael Marinho, submission specialist Jussier Formiga and knockout artist Deiveson Figueiredo will face each other in an intriguing stylistic matchup on the Tennessee card.
A Brazilian jiu-jitsu and judo blackbelt, Jussier Formiga (22-5) will look for his fourth straight win in a row. The 33-year-old already holds wins over Ulka Sasaki, Ben Nguyen and most recently Sergio Pettis in his last three bouts. Jussier hasn’t lost since a unanimous decision to Ray Borg back in March 2017.
Still undefeated in his professional career, heavy-handed Deiveson Figueiredo (15-0) has defeated four opponents in the Octagon: Marco Beltran, Jarred Brooks, Joseph Morales and John Moraga, all but one of them by way of TKO.
